We have found the gems for you

This is the restaurants you need to visit in Tavira

Our favorites:

  • À Mesa

    Fine dining

    Michelin Guide

A cozy restaurant with exciting food. The location for outdoor dining is probably not the best compared to other restaurants we recommend (due to ongoing construction work, spring 2024), but À Mesa is certainly one of the finest when it comes to indoor interiors.

    Cozy vibes and great food!

  • Bossa

    $$-$$$

    Fusion

One of our absolute favorites. A wonderful fusion restaurant located across the Roman bridges in Tavira city.

Here they serve Brazilian-Italian dishes, with a focus on strong flavours and sustainable ingredients.

    Amazing indoor atmosphere.

  • O Tonel

    $$-$$$

    Mediterranean flavors

Amazing restaurant in Tavira city centre. Here you sit at small tables in a pedestrian street with colorful trees hanging over you. O Tonel serves classic Portuguese dishes of high quality, inspired by other European countries and Mediterranean cuisine.

Remember to book in advance - this one is very popular.

  • Canalha

    $$-$$$

    Portuguese small dishes

An incredibly cozy restaurant with outdoor dining in a charming narrow street. Here you get classic Portuguese dishes with a modern twist. There are also live performances by talented musicians at the outdoor dining area several times a week.

  • Luzzo

    $$

    Pizzeria

Sometimes you're just in the mood for a really good pizza baked in a stone oven, and you'll find that at Luzzo. Choose from classics, or create your very own pizza with everything your palate desires.

Enjoy the pizza at one of the street tables, or get it deliverd through Uber Eats. Enjoy pizza, wine and sunset on the rooftop terrace.

  • BARTÔ

    $$-$$$

    Japanese fusion

A sushi restaurant located across the roman bridge. Bartô serves high quality sushi with exciting twists and interesting combinations that works incredibly well. Definitely worth a try if you’ve grown tired from the usual nigiri.
